In the days of glory before the charr, before the searing,before the massacre there was a child born.The child was a daughter of ascalon;her mother a defiant warrior her father a respected elementalist. The baby girl was named Cyan the opulent sky of the north. During the searing she was seperated from her family. She emerged in the ruined pass between surmia and the crystal desert by now she was alert she choose the path of the desert, the roaring horizon.

This is where the true story begins. Cyan and the survivors walked on through the blistering heat,dissolving sands this hardened her. Days and nights past the troupe began to thin; she stayed strong. She stood alone ravaged and changed and found the outskirts of the amnoon oasis. She slowly walked along into the lagoon waters and fell dazed.

"By the gods!" shouted a figure upon the horizon dashing to her aid.
She awoke cool rested and refreshed. She averted her weared gaze to the character she was a tall elonian woman wearing a series of bangles and brightest of silks her hair was braided and slung upon her head.
"Relax i am Kahti." she spoke in a mellow soothing voice.
Cyan stumbled to her feet tears in her eyes.
"Where....charr....burn...slash...kill.arghhh" she screamed and fell unconscous the reality struck her like a flame to a charr skin.

Her parents missing and her scarred she began to realize and consider the facts ; she wanted revenge to kill ever char cur that entered her grasp.
She lived and trained in the oasis Kahti was kind and treated Cyan like a daughter. Soon Cyan became a talented mage and treated fighting as a delight.By the age of fourteen she was the best mage this side of the north sea.

On the eve of her birthday she looked upon the skies with entrancement.
For years she lived and honed her skills in the oasis she was ready.
"mothe....Kahti you have taught me skill respect and control" she said tearfully."Is there something wrong my child?" she looked concerned.
"I must leave i will kill every charr in the hope that with each scum i gut i will find my parents". she said with a fervorous urge.
She ran she ran and stowawayed on the ship to kryta, she fought her way through the shiverpeaks until she reached ascalon.
She was Horizon.
